Descriptive Summary:
This opportunity for Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health (IECMH) providers centers on the practice of reflective supervision and consultation, emphasizing its foundational role in supporting both the emotional well-being of young children and the professional development of providers. Participant questions will lead the conversation, in order to provide a space where the most relevant needs can be explored. Topics may include systemic and interpersonal barriers that hinder the delivery of reflective services, including workload constraints, supervisory dynamics, lack of training or support, and/or organizational culture. In addition, the conversation will highlight existing community resources and collaborative networks to support the sustainability of reflective practice across IECMH settings.  Through an integration of theoretical knowledge, applied skills, and peer discussion, this training equips providers to foster reflective capacity within themselves and those they support.

*Attendance at our previous lunch and learn focused on reflective supervision is NOT prerequisite for attending this event*

Objectives:
  • Provide information about accessing and utilizing a reflective supervision / consultation framework (Facilitating Attuned Interactions, FAN)
  • Answer questions regarding potential barriers in provision of reflective services
  • Explore available community supports for IECMH reflective supervisors / consultants
